Reds: The Kid is Back!
|
Ken Griffey Jr OF - Cincinnati Reds ...
The Reds activated Ken Griffey Jr, and he is back patrolling centerfield in Cincinnati.
Fantasy Spin: For those of you who were patient enough to hold onto Griffey, it's time to
consider starting him. If you have a deep outfield, it may be best to sit him for a while, until he gets
his swing back and proves that he is healthy again. ( Xeifrank)

Red Sox: You look marvelous
|
Rolando Arrojo SP - Boston Red Sox ...
Arrojo allowed two runs on four hits in six innings against San Diego on Tuesday. Since being moved to the starting
rotation, Arrojo has allowed four runs in 25 innings.
Fantasy Spin: Arrojo's pitch count has not exceeded 88, and he has a 23-6 K/BB ratio. Because of terrible run
support -- the Red Sox have scored 11 runs in his four starts -- Arrojo only has one win. The bad run support won't last;
Arrojo might be available in your league, so grab him while he's still flying low across the fantasy radar

White Sox: Need A Closer?
|
Antonio Osuna RP - Chicago White Sox ...
Osuna picked up his third save in three chances since Keith Foulke lost the closer's job in Chicago.
Fantasy Spin:
Osuna has made the most of his opportunities as the new closer for the White Sox, with three saves in three chances.
Stick with him until he proves otherwise.

Astros: Good Young Pitcher
|
Kirk Saarloos SP - Houston Astros ...
The final line looks awful, but Saarloos showed flashes of greatness in his major league debut. He allowed six hits,
three walks and six runs (four strikeouts) in 4.2 innings. He had a 4-1 grounder/fly ratio, and indeed, his pitches did
show excellent Maddux-esque movement.
Fantasy Spin: Houston's outfield played shoddy defense behind him, and Saarloos showed some rookie nervousness when
things got tough. One thing I liked, was that Saarloos was unafraid to throw his breaking stuff or his changeup when behind in
the count. He also threw several two-strike pitches on the corners that were called balls. Something tells me he'll be racking up
the K's when he gets 15-20 major league starts under his belt

Pirates:
|
Craig A Wilson 1B/OF Pittsburgh Pirates ...
Wilson homered in his third straight game Sunday. He went 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs in Pittsburgh's 5-1 victory. Wilson is
29-for-61 (.475) since May 30 and has become an everyday player for the Pirates.
Fantasy Spin: He has also driven in at least one run in 12 of his last 16 games. If he keeps this up, you
should open a spot for him no matter what kind of league you are in.
